WHO WE ARE

Celeste Farms is a 4.3-acre regenerative farm located just East of city limits in Varina, VA. We provide organically grown diversified fruits, herbs, and vegetables to local food champions including Ellwood Thompson’s, Leafy Lanes, and Goatocado. We also donate produce to Food Not Bombs and RVA Community Fridges.

A band of tinkerers, Big Idea thinkers, foraged food wizards, and mad scientist farmers, Celeste Farms was founded on a true passion for sharing knowledge and expanding skill sets.  In addition to growing vegetables, we have a range of other projects in the works: we cook up our own compost, are stewards to a variety of creatures: chickens, worms, and bees, and are establishing wildflower meadows throughout the property to house native flora, fauna, and pollinators. 

We like to think of our farm as a living project, one where we are always learning ways to leave a lighter environmental footprint and are ever-evolving with the efforts and interests of the team. Celeste Farms strives to become a hub for artisans, chefs, and farmers to further explore and practice their crafts while earning a living wage.

This season, we are sharing our passions and skillsets with the RVA community with the launch of The Farmer & The Chef Dinner Experience - a series of educational farm tours and meals that highlight seasonal produce we grow and showcase thoughtful menus curated by our resident chef.  We hope you’ll join us in the field!
